Do you dream of standing alongside community members coming together to take collective action and generate solutions to common problems? Do you want to see people empowered and organized toward health, economic opportunity, and social justice? Do you believe that Jesus cares about this even more than you do? We are looking for people who live and breathe community development and have the intercultural competency to help local people succeed by supporting them in their mission!

Mission interns and longer-term workers can be involved in various initiatives in the Francistown area. You could work in sports ministry, alongside NGO's that promote sports and fitness, healthy activities in the local community, and empower young people to reach their full potential. Some past work that has been done in sports ministry includes: life skill workshops, fitness training/conditioning, supporting local sport teams with game day logistics, team building work, mentoring coaches and young people, and enhancing sport programs through community engagement.

Workers may also use their skills with community programs relating to HIV/AIDS education and counseling, after-school literacy programs, and work in the local government schools. Ministry partnership may also include developing refugee relationships and work within the local church context, through Inter-Mennonite Bible program or Africa Initiated Churches.
