Position description:
United Mission to Nepal, UMN, is an interdenominational organization that exists to serve the poor and marginalized in the name and spirit of Christ.
The Disaster Management Advisor supports the preparedness of UMN staff and partners for disasters; advises onorganizational systems and structures for disaster preparedness and response; supports the effective implementation of disaster response, especially after a large-scale disaster.
This position is Kathmandu-based and will require regular trips to UMN working areas.
Term: Four years
Language: English, Nepali (language training provided on location)
Qualifications:
A Masters Degree or equivalent and at least five years of relevant work. Willingness and physical stamina to travel to remote areas of Nepal.
