​Lutheran Family Services works to resettle refugees and Asylees in the Albuquerque area. Participants will work with diverse persons who are forging new beginnings in the United States and gain insights into refugee resettlement and non-profit organizations, sometimes working with other staff members and other times independently. Tasks will vary, including helping to set-up apartments for new arrivals, greeting persons who enter the facility and taking phone calls at the front desk.
