New Day is a community center located within walking distance of the Service Adventure unit house. New Day provides general support for the community by offering counseling services, an after-school program, sports programs and parenting classes. Generally the participants serve as leaders for the after-school program. The after-school program serves youth grades first through eighth. Participants will lead Bible, crafts games, and possibly assist with children's choir, dance, art, or reading groups. Participants will also be supported and challenged to grow spiritually through daily staff devotions and regular one-to-one meetings with New Day staff. Working at New Day is a wonderful opportunity for integrating faith and work.
