Application deadline: May 15

Join faith-based and humanitarian groups along the U.S.-Mexico border where you will learn about the immigration process and the people who experience it from organizations and people at the forefront of immigration and migrant rights.

Learn what's missing from conversations about the border and immigration, and explore the root causes of migration, the strife at the border, and what goes into the asylum-seeking process.

Each tour is unique. This year, groups will volunteer with

  • La Posada - an emergency shelter providing for the immediate needs of immigrants ensuring their safety, providing them clean shelter, food, shower and laundry facilities.

  • South Texas Human Rights Center - builds water stations in the Brooks County desert area and surrounding counties.

  • Team Brownsville - When asylum seekers are released from detention at the bus station in Brownsville, teams greets them with a smile and whatever essentials they need to get to their destinations.
